General

Yes, our retail store & consumption lounge is open 365 days a year, including holidays.

Our venue welcomes guests with trained service animals as required by law. Service animals are individually trained to perform specific tasks to assist individuals with disabilities and are permitted in our dining area.

Please note that emotional support animals, pets, and other animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and are therefore not permitted in our facility.

We appreciate your understanding as we strive to maintain a comfortable environment for all our guests. 

Yes, visitors from out of state or other countries are generally welcome, as long as they meet the age requirements. Be sure to have a valid government-issued ID, such as a passport or driver’s license, for verification. Just remember that cannabis purchased cannot legally cross state or international borders.

A cannabis lounge is a place to consume cannabis, whereas a dispensary is a retail store where you purchase cannabis products. In a dispensary, you can browse and buy different forms of cannabis, but consumption is not allowed on-site. The lounge offers an experience similar to a café or bar, but for cannabis users.

You must be at least 21 years old to enter a recreational cannabis lounge or dispensary in most areas. Medical marijuana users may be allowed entry at 18 with a valid medical card. Be sure to bring government-issued ID for verification.

  • Dispensary Hours: 9am-9pm Monday-Sunday 
  • Consumption Lounge Hours:
    • 12pm – 10pm Monday to Thursday
    • 12pm – 11pm on Fridays
    • 10am-11pm Saturdays
    • 10am –10pm Sundays

We accept driver’s licenses & passports. The ID must be valid and include a scannable barcode. 

We accept cash and debit cards at our retail store.

Our consumption lounge accepts cash, debit and credit cards.

Sessions By The Bay is the first and only cannabis consumption lounge in San Diego with an immersive art space, restaurant, and retail. 

CARTRIDGES

Cartridges may only be returned for reasons due to manufacturing defects. Product must be returned within 7 Days with original packaging and must have 75% of the product remaining.

Cartridges CANNOT be returned due to taste or undesired effects.

FLOWER

Flower may not be returned or exchanged unless it has mold or other contaminants.

EDIBLES

Edible purchases may only be returned or exchanged if the product is expired, or contains mold. The product must be returned within 24 hours with at least 75% of the product remaining.

TOPICAL SOLUTIONS & TINCTURES

Topical Solutions & Tinctures may only be returned or exchanged if it causes an allergic reaction or contains mold or other contaminants. The product must be returned within 24 hours with at least 75% of the product remaining.

Pre-rolls may not be returned or exchanged.

Concentrates may not be returned or exchanged.

Non-Medicated product sales are final.

Each item being returned or exchanged must have a receipt or proof of purchase (i.e. label w/ patient information)

CALIFORNIA REGULATIONS: CUSTOMER RETURN OF CANNABIS GOODS.

“Customer return” means a customer’s return of cannabis goods that were purchased from a licensed retailer, back to the licensed retailer the cannabis goods were purchased from.

  • A licensed retailer may accept customer returns of cannabis goods that were previously sold to a customer.
  • A licensed retailer shall not resell cannabis goods that have been returned.
  • A licensed retailer shall treat any cannabis goods abandoned on the licensed retailer premises as a customer return.
  • Defective manufactured cannabis products returned by customers to a licensed retailer may be destroyed pursuant to section 5054 of this division, or returned to the licensed distributor from whom the cannabis goods were obtained in accordance with section 5053 of this division.

No, driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal and dangerous. It’s best to arrange alternative transportation, such as using a rideshare service or designating a sober driver. Consuming cannabis can impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely.

Yes, we have elevators and ramps that is wheelchair accessible

While there’s no strict limit on consumption in most lounges, it’s important to practice moderation for your own safety and enjoyment. Lounge staff may monitor patrons to ensure responsible consumption. Always pace yourself and be mindful of your tolerance.

If you feel unwell after consuming cannabis, the best approach is to stay calm, hydrate, and wait for the effects to pass. Lounges often have staff available to assist you if needed. Consuming CBD or taking deep breaths can help alleviate uncomfortable feelings.

Lounge Experience

Absolutely! We offer a full selection of non-infused options, including water, sodas, juices, teas, and coffees. And if you prefer, our mocktails can be enjoyed without any cannabis infusion. 

Yes, our lounge is an exclusive, members-only space. You can join us with a monthly membership or purchase a day pass for a single visit. Our dispensary, however, is open to all visitors. Stay tuned for more details on membership options and benefits! 

Yes! We offer a spacious, nearly 1,500 sq. ft. outdoor patio with beautiful San Diego views, where you can enjoy cannabis just as freely as you would inside. 

No, outside cannabis isn’t allowed by National City law, as there’s no way to regulate it. Plus, our cannabis sales help keep the lights on and support everything we offer here at Sessions by the Bay. We’ve curated an incredible selection to make sure you have the best experience possible! 

No, outside glass isn’t allowed. However, we offer a wide range of smokeware for rent or purchase to ensure you have everything you need for a great experience at Sessions by the Bay. 

Yes, we highly recommend making a reservation due to high demand. Some of our special events also require tickets, so be sure to check event details in advance! 

Yes 100% At Sessions, you’re free to smoke, eat edibles, dab, vape—whatever your cannabis-loving heart desires. We’re here to make sure you enjoy cannabis your way. 

Yes, we offer private or VIP rooms for a more exclusive experience. These rooms may come with additional services or personalized attention from staff. Inquire about availability and any extra fees associated with these rooms.

  • A recreational customer can purchase 1 ounce (about 28.5 grams) of flower a day and up to 8 grams of concentrates and manufactured products (including edibles, oils, extracts and other products) a day. 
  • A medical patient can purchase up to 8 ounces of cannabis flower per day.
